What size is your TT? 34' 2010 831rlbss Flagstaff
What's your typical TT GVW? @6500 empty
What tow vehicle? 2009 RAM 5.7l 3.73 rear HEMI 2500
MPG while towing? 7.3 mostly flat @65-68 mph (try to stay below 70) and with A/C it quickly drops to 6.8 - then I turn it off.

I've been very dissatisfied with this RAM. It's been 13.x to 16mpg for it's 1st 5500 miles not towing and the mileage sure seems to be of the lower that I see here. I couldn't believe I saw someone towing over 6000# with a Blazer. Good thread, lots of interesting info. ed

Flagstaff 831FKBSS 7241 Loaded: Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab Hemi...3:92 Posi Rear: 10-12 MPG Highway @ 60 MPH
_______________

Don and Elaine - you pulled that weight with a 1500 Hemi and got 10-12 at 60? I got the 2009 HEMI 2500 so it would handle more weight and it is proving to be 7.3mpg on a 180 mile run and shows 50 to go till nomo gas!, holds about 2300 rpm for 65-68mph towing about 6500# but jumps to 3300rpm on any rolling hills. Guess those extra mph drinks it faster and I'd hate to see it on any mountains. I am finding this thing is geared to 55-60. Wish it had that 6th gear the CTD has. It's costing me the same as the CTD did, 89oct is the same as diesel now.

Just moved up to a 2008 lariat crew 6.4 diesel w/25,000 miles got it for 28k. The FX4 was capable, but this Truck is insane 19-22 mpg towing on east coast. The diesel takes the cake as well as the Longer wheel base and TV weight.
