No warranty, what are you using now?
Do you want to run a synthetic?

Been running Mobil 1 in my transmissions for years and never a problem. All were Chevy's, Pontiac's or Cadillac's.

I know the Allison is a good transmission so why not go with what Chevy says to run in it?

When I had the fluid changed in mine and just went with the Ford stuff because I saw no reason to change.

I like both of these
KISS or If it ain't broke don't fix it.

I would only recommend what gm/Allison recommends imo.

Dex III for all 5 speeds
Dex VI for six speeds

I'd flush and refill with transynd

I would not flush just simply drain change the filter and re fill. Just like an oil change. Flushing can cause problems. Some may dis agree but from what I learned in school and some I have witnessed.

I run synthetic...helps keep fluid temp down compared to non synthetic & takes a lot more to break synthetic down.
Eitherway...just make sure to perform tranny filter/fluid changes consistentently

transynd is probably the best fluid for an Allison hands down. Where I work, we have alot of the 06,07,08 GM's with duramax/allison 1000's in the fleet, and I have yet to hear of one failing yet, many are in the 300,000 mile range, all running the transynd

Yea that's what I had been told. If presently using Dex III, do you have to have the complete system flushed to change to the synthetic?? Tks!!

Transynd is over kill but it is the best possible product to put in there. Maxlife ATF is good and well and Mobil 1 ATF

transynd is the best period, anything that is TES 295 with the allison logo on the bottle will work, 95% of built trans owners run it and they are worked a lot harder then a stock trans will ever see Allison Transmission
