towing 31' rets with 2500 truck

Just wandering how the 2500 truck handles the 31 foot rets-6? I have a 2500 dodge diesel crew cab with short box that i'm going to be using to pull a 31 rets.

There are a few out there pulling this trailer with a 2500. You should be just fine.

rdvanorder,

As you probably noticed on my reply to your hitch thread, I tow my 31 RETS with a 2500 Dodge. I find that the engine will handle the weight easily and have not had any trouble yet with the passes we have crossed. I do tend to leave plenty of room for braking, however. In my opinion, that is the weak point of towing the kind of weights we are talking about and I give myself plenty of braking room and start any donwhill runs slowly. Othewise, very happy with the performance of the Dodge.

I also tow a 31 RETS with a 2500 Dodge, with no problems what so ever. It works much better if its a red one though, and looks real cool pulling the Sabre.
