Towing A Ford ranger 4wd 2003 with Remco

I tow a 03 Ford Ranger behind my motor home. Remco driveshaft coupler book says to tow in park with key turn off as far as it will go. This locks the steering wheel. Is this the correct procedure? Any suggestions?

Are you towing flat or with a dolly?

In any event you do need the steering locked.

The one pivot point you need is at the ball and hitch you are using.
You do not want the front wheels all loosey goosey because the steering wheel is not locked or tied down.
