Towing a Honda Fit

Hello, has anyone towed a Honda Fit behind a Motorhome? I see it listed as a car with an automatic transmission that can be towed flat, but I don't see any being towed on the road. I was wondering if there may be a problem with towing one, which is why I don't see them on the highway. Thanks for your help.

What year fit? With the 2015's, you can only tow a manual transmission.

Well, I was thinking to buy a used one - pre 2015 since that year can not be towed flat. I just wanted to know if anyone had experience flat towing a Honda Fit behind a motorhome.

Doing it with 2015 manual behind a 2012 3011DS Foresters. Lose 1/2 to 1 mile per gallon. Hardly know it's there. Blue ox tow bar.

Love the car, by the way. Up to 44 mpg on the road.

I just bought a new fit to tow but have not yet I was looking for a used Toyota or Honda for a long time but I could never find anything with low miles on them. A 2012 Honda in good shape and low miles was not much less than a new one. I will have everything "Blue Ox" on it next week. I am now looking for information about what would be the best protection for the front end as I tow would like to keep the car looking as good as I can

We tow a 2013 Fit

We bought a 2013 Fit with Auto Transmission that we have been towing without problems. We were told that we should stop every 4 hours and start the Fit and run it through the gears in order to keep the transmission fluid doing its thing. The Fit makes a great tow vehicle, good price, lots of storage room and good handling with low gas use.

I'm in the process of buying a 2015 Fit to tow. I think I've got most of it figured out, but I'm wondering what others are using for supplemental braking with the Fit?

Thanks!
