At some point during every day you suddenly realize nothing else productive is going to happen the rest of that day. For me, it usually occurs around 9 am.

Towing a Jeep Wrangler

Iím pretty sure you donít have a steer lock. Check your manual or park on a hill put it tow mode and leave the key out. let it roll so you can turn the steering wheel. You will know if you have a steer lock. I searched a couple of Jeep forums and they all say the steering lock stopped somewhere around 07-08.

When I hooked up the Ready Brute system we did a brake test. I rode in the Jeep while it was being towed to observe and verify brake pedal movement. The steering wheel was definitely turning left and right with no interference from a steering lock.

Emm-dee / CZNEDY - are you attending the Peach Rally this year ? If so, maybe we can find & take the Jeeps out for some trail rides !

Also - my 14 has no steering lock !

Sorry, no we won't be there. We are going to the Tadpole and hopefully the Goshen rally but that's it this year. We have a cross country trip planned for October so only two rallies. Maybe next year. Thanks,

Towing a Jeep Wrangler

I don't know the year of your Wrangler, but I have no such problems with my 2006. I did discover early on, however, that after putting the transfer case in neutral and turning the key to the off position, I needed to be careful to not continuing to turn the key to the accessory position. Turning the key beyond the first stop allows the accessories to drain the battery such as the radio, wipers, etc. Thus my battery was drained and I had to recharge it before operating the Jeep again.
