Towing a smart car

Has any forum member had experience with towing a smart car 4 down? My 2011 lists the procedure to follow, but would like to talk to someone who has done it. Will have it behind a 2007 FR Sunseeker 2600 using BlueOx gear.

I have not towed a smart car 4 down but have talked to other who have. They complained that the short wheel base of the smart car caused the tires to wear quickly. The reason being when you make a turn, if you are turning right the rear end of the MH causes the car to turn left first them make a sudden right hand turn. The opposite happens when turning left. They found it was better to tow on a flat bed trailer.

A good friend has one and I was quite surprised at how roomy the interior is, despite its small size. He tows it behind his Monaco Diplomat MH with no problem.

He told me that all the exterior body parts - fenders, quarter panels, etc can be removed and replaced without any special tools or methods.

I do smile whenever I see one and think that someone has lost a roller skate.
