Towing behind a 5th wheel

We have a 39' 5th wheel pulled by a Ram 3500 dually/diesel. We bought two motor scooters and want to haul them behind the 5th wheel. Is that possible with a 5th wheel? If so, how? Thanks.

Only way I can think of is put them on a trailer, and double trailer towing is only legal in a few states. I don't think you SHOULD put a hitch on the back of the trailer and put them in some kind of "carry-all". That's my opinion and limited knowledge. Your mileage may vary. Might be time to trade for a toy hauler?

Michigan does allow it with a special endorsement, but I believe the total length here is 55' total length.

I seen a platform once that attached to the back of the trailer and has D.O.T. rubber tire casters on it. It's not considered a trailer so no legality issues. It mounts to the bumper and allows for independent up and down movement but does not pivot right to left. Pretty cool setup. Guy was carrying a golf cart on it.

You can, if your 5th-wheel is designed for a hitch, most are not thought. The ones that can have the hitch mounted already. At leat the ones I've seen. I would say NO, but if you give make and model of your 5th Wheel, we could give you better advise !!

-Point I was getting at is they make a double hitch mounted Scooter carrier's. We have 2-Adly Scooters. The Rockwood isnt designed to mount any thing on the rear bumper, So we have to make room in the truck bed. (note: we have a TT)

If your fifth is 39 feet, the frame should be plenty heavy enough to mount a hitch. Most states allow trailers behind the fifth wheel, but the allowed length varies a lot between states. Just google it and I am sure you will find the info. A lot of travel atlases have that info as well.
I pulled my jet boat behind my old fifth wheel, and a buddy of mine pulls his pontoon boat!

My 5th wheel is 39'. Can I mount a lightweight double motorcycle carrier on the back of the RV. Can that be done?
