Will it pull it? Yes.

Will you be within GVWR specs? No.

Are you willing to overload your truck's GVWR by 1,000lbs?

Are you willing to load your truck to be at or above the RAWR of 6200lbs?

What are the physical differences between a chevy 2500 and 3500?

3500 has over load springs. Otherwise the same.

I am part of the weight police I guess but I have gravitated less from the getting sued in the event of a crash and more of the I do not want to be illegal. I might not get DOTed but I still do not want to be over weight.

I became a card carrying member of the weight police after having too much trailer for the tv and getting pushed down a 7% grade despite having properly adjusted tt brakes and gearing down in the tv (full size suv). The only spec I was over on was payload. I swore never again would I be over on any number.

I still wonder if adding air bags and better tires would allow the smaller 5th wheel to be ok.........................................
Have a look at Columbus. That is what we are going to upgrade too. As long as as my Pin is 2,200 I can tow it with my F 250. There are some nice ones that nicely outfitted and have enough space.
Dont despair, you can get something that will work.

I have the same truck as you: 2015 2500HD Crew Cab LTZ 6.5 foot bed. Only I have a 6.0 gasser. My sticker says payload is 2749....I believe Chevy said the truck had a payload of 3124 lbs. Either way, with your payload rated as 2200 lbs, you have a serious overload situation with that 5er. I'm sure your Duramax will pull it, but do you want to be way over on the payload side? Your call, but I would look for something a little lighter that will also please your wife. That will be the hardest part!

Asquared and Texas Bob..........I have looked where you said yours is. Mine is not there. My door doesn't even look like ASQ's....my sticker is nowhere. I have stood on my head, looked in glove box, looked in owners manual papers, looked on back doors, you name it.

No sticker.

I do see how much variety there is in CC capacity! Ace, I guess your gas?

TexasBob.. I came on here because I could not find that thing on my truck for the longest time. I always found them on the doors, Chevy really made this one harder than it needed to be to find! LOL

You do have a 2015 CHEVY 2500 right? I posted a pic from my 2015.5 and the doors SHOULD look the same at least... I am just shocked it is not there. Probably should not (prob not allowed) to leave the factory without one.

No sticker.
So it's not on the actual door, the door frame, or the glove box. We know it's legally required to be there somewhere. I'm racking my brain for other ideas.

Yes, mines on the "B" post down low... Very low. Not the door.

My build code sticker is in the upper glove box

Here's the deal. I just went and looked for the 20th time. That's by actual count, not hyperbole. I have the yellow tire capacity chart, and it lists max cargo capacity at 2286.

Manual lists Max trailer weight (17,100 lbs) and GCWR (24,500 lbs). That is the Diesel Supplement Manual. The actual Owner's Manual makes no mention of any specs of any kind, no hard data, for any diesel truck.

I suppose that some day someone will point this out to me and I'll slap my head. But right now, I am 100% sure it is not there, not anywhere.

Build code sticker is in the glove box. Camper "Shell" weight rating is in glove box (one line in sticker). No RAGWR anywhere.

Yes thanks. My tires are 20's, but same truck.

Just no clue why it's missing.

I even have original window sticker. No info there, not even MPG rating.

Anything over the size of a 1500 do not need the MPG sticker, they are exempted... tire loading will be different, but that will be stamped on the rubber. Axles will be the same.

My truck also didn't have a sticker...are there on any of your stickers a Model #?

That is how I found out my payload....I cross-referenced the model number to gm specs and my payload came up.

Hope that helps,

How about under the Yellow sticker to its right in the picture between the ground and rear door?
