Towing fiver with an ecoboost

camperboy, to respond to your original question: We easily towed a Palomino Puma 230 FBS with our 2013-F150 ecoboost. The only problem we experienced was some bottoming out of the truck back end on some dips in the road. Probably could have used more suspension support back there. We towed our 5'er through the Rockies with no problem. The trailer probably weighed approximately about 7,000 lbs. We drive around 60-65 mph. Gas mileage averaged around 8-10 mpg. The trailer was about 25 ft. long. Hope this is helpful. It was an easy tow!

Suspension Support: Road Master Active Suspension.....used on my previous F150 and every truck I own will get one. It makes the vehicle handle so much better and supports the lift springs so they don't sag much under load.

When I had the F 150 Eco towing my Rockwood I had stock springs, heavier duty as it was a King Ranch and came equipped with them. These trucks often used for Horse Trailer here in Southern Ontario.

I had no air bags or timbrens . Just Truck tires at 65 psi front and 70 psi back. Rode really rough dry but towing was smooth. My measure trailer weight was 9,400 lbs, right near the limit.

It is up to the OP and depending on planned travel the F150 Ecoboost might be the right choice for several reasons.

There ya go... I know it can, I did it. Also towed a 24 ft TT in 1993 with a Mercury Grand Marquis! Sometimes you do what you have to do!
