Towing help Quick please! (Toad/Dinghy - 93 Jeep Sahara)

Time is getting tight for departure to Perry and I am getting conflicting stories on how to tow our 93 Jeep Sahara. One person says to shift the transfer case to neutral and put the tranny in gear and the next says to put the transfer case to 4 hi and leave the tranny in neutral. This will be the first tow and I am nervous as hell about it. Which is it? I know to leave the steering unlocked and the hook ups and all but still unsure about the rest. (As an outsider - not owning a motorhome and never having to know anything about towing a toad.)

Does your Jeep Sahara owners manual say anything about towing it? Or, can you talk to the service guys at a Jeep dealership?

I believe you are safe, but make sure it doesn't have a Dana 300 transfer case. I believe those were i the 80s. Those jeeps can't be flat towed without disconnecting a driveshaft.

Thank you everyone. I don't know why I didn't check the owners manual earlier, but it details how to tow behind a recreational vehicle. I feel like a dummy for not checking it first. The correct procedure is to shift the transfer case to neutral and put the tranny in gear. Do not remove the drive shaft as it may cause a leak and damage parts.

You're a guy, that's how it's done and it's a rule. The manual/directions are a last resort. Have a safe trip.
