Towing Mirrors for 2012 Ram

DH wants towing mirrors for his birthday. I can't find any custom fit ones for a 2012 Ram. The CIPA only goes up to 2008. Any advice?

K - didn't you get the dual mirror (not sure of proper name) option? The one that folds from a vertical position to a horizational position for towing and back.

Our 2012 3/4 Ram has them and they are all I need when towing our FW.

You might consider retrofitting the ones you have now with the factory ones as an option.

My exact question also. We have an '06 and it has the dual flip mirrors. I wonder if their truck is not equipped with a towing package and that is the reason they don't have them??

Search the web for Dodge towing mirrors. You should find at least tow or three sites offering the factory mirrors at fair prices. The aftermarket ones all seem pretty unsatisfactory after using a good factory type. Besides it will look better with factory mirrors on it

The factory tow mirrors for the 2010 and up 2500's and 3500's work great and they will fit the 2009 - 2012 1500's also. I have a set on my 2012 1500 and I am very pleased...Randy

If you (or he) prefers Mopar parts, check this site out. Not the cheapest but that's what I did and got the dealership to install.

Take your Ram back to your dealer and ask him to exchange stock mirrors for trailer tow mirrors. Will cost a bit but you will end up with the proper set-up

We did get the tow package with our Ram. My dad has a Ram 2500 deisel with the built in tow mirrors. I'm assuming that's the type you are talking about. Our Ram does not have that. I really don't want to spend $600+ on them, I was looking for more like $100.

have to agree, you will regret buying the after market knock offs, they shake and vibrate while going down the road. I put the mopar mirrors on my 07 and love them. Will not own another dodge without them! Buy far the best thing I have got for the truck/camper yet! If the money is an issue just wait and save some extra money as it will be worth it!

I have to disagree somewhat.
I bought after market tow mirrors that I did a install "how to"on this forum for my silverado.
They do not vibrate and fit and function are top notch.
They were less than 200.00 and meet oe quality considering oe's are over $500.00

There may be cheap bad tow mirror on the market but the ones I bought for 150.00 ish perform great!

I will give you that on the chevy, but the dodge mirrors "flip up" and the aftermarket ones shake and vibrate going down the road, the mopar ones are a lot sturdier!

I purchased a set of strap on mirrors from Walmart. They serve the purpose. There is a little vibration, but they do offer some improved visibility. I have the same truck.

I also have those strap on walmart mirrors. They worked good but wanted something permanent.
