Towing mirrors on 15/16 Ford F150

I have checked with Ford and they don't make any electronic towing mirrors for 2015/16 F150s.

I am new to this community (travel trailers), and I am quite certain that I am not the only person with this problem. Surely someone has an answer.

Thanks,

Little Red Wagon

Just went on Ford.com to check this out as I had seen the option for power telescoping tow mirrors for the F150. Turns out that you can get them on the Lariat and up but not on the XLT and down; at least from what I can see.

They made them for year models prior to 2015. The only thing they have now is manual adjust. It seems that when they went to the aluminum body something changed. 2014 mirrors will not work according to Ford.

Thanks for the quick responses.

I don't understand how Ford would have made such a bonehead decision.

Check with eBay. Lots of new aftermarket parts and accessories!

I agree. XLT is popular and a lot of people tow. The big mirrors used to be part of Max Tow but are now separately ordered. To allow the mirrors on Lariat but not on XLT just doesn't make sense. Guess manual is the only option on XLT.

You can get the xlt with power non power fold tow mirrors from the factory. To add these after purchase you need to buy harnesses, modules and $1200 mirrors. There are no aftermarket mirrors out for the new f150 yet. I purchased fully manual tow mirrors for mine for $280. When it comes time to tow my trailer I just swap my non tow with my tow mirrors. It only takes a couple of minute to swap mirrors.

I had a 2015 F150 and found Ford could do nothing. Went to CW and tried every add-on mirror they had. Not one fit. Made sure the 2016 F250 had the electric tow mirrors.
