Towing Opinions Needed

Please let me know your opinions on the following set up

2015 Chevy 2500HD 4x4, 4dr., LTZ, 6.0 gas
GVWRC - 9500 lbs.
GCWR - 20500 lbs.
Factory tag for max payload - 2790 lbs

CAT Weighed Numbers On Truck with me and full tank of fuel -
Front Axle - 4020
Rear Axle - 3140
GVW - 7160

Trailer Options -

Cougar 336BHS
Dry Weight - 10595
Hitch Weight - 1895
Payload - 1695

Primetime Crusader 337QBH
Dry Weight - 10601
Hitch Weight - 1631
Payload - 1430


I am planning on purchasing the B&W companion RVK3500 or RVK3400 slider if needed as I have the 6.5' bed. I pull a gooseneck at this time but have never had any issues with the trucks abilities. I have also noticed several people on this forum with similar TV and heavy pin weights. What has been your experience with that combo?

I added 250 lbs since you said you didn't have hitch and this is what I come up with.

You have 2,590 lbs. of payload capacity. Fifth wheels typically have 20% - 25% pin weight which gives you a maximum loaded trailer weight of 10,360 - 12,950 lbs.

WARNING that is loaded ready to camping weights not the weights posted on the websites or on the 5er. Best to add 1000 to 1500 lbs ( more depending on your how much you plan to bring camping) to the Dry Weight/Shipping Weight and use those numbers. You still need to say within you towing limits also.

I believe you're cutting it pretty close, but if you load carefully, you may be ok.

I am probably going to go with the Andersen hitch to save some weight since I already have the B&W turnover ball. I believe the aluminum model is 40 lbs total.
