What are the Fords and the Dodge's getting? This could turn into a very interesting thread.

When I had my light wt. like that I got 19 in the hills of Or. I have a 3500HD DRW 3:73 rears now and thereis a lot of variables wind hill wt. I have Sierra 365saq and I got 17 mpg going from Mayer Az to Mesa Az but running against 30mph wind from Victoria Tx to Houston I got 12mpg
so emty I get 22-23 mpg of course wind may change that.

Reason I asked was because I had heard that the Dodges were getting 10-15% better than the Fords and Chevys. How much will the tuners help on mpg? Do wind deflectors really help? Thanks for the replies.

Not true GM gets better mpg and tuners have diffeerent setting preformance for better mpg but can't be used when towing according to the one i have and it is super-chips no better milage when towing and furthermore i didn't see anymore exceptional power than my duramax allready had but that is one opinion it don't work for me so i don't use it anybody want to buy its for sale.

The Lie-O-Meter in the dash tells me 14.1 combo empty. Towing I'm at 11. It don't really matter because it's the smiles per gallon, not the miles, IMO. The truck is tuned, kitty cat delete, EGR delete and a 4" turbo back stainless MBRP exhaust.

THAT pretty much says it all! Really don't know why everybody wants to compare MPG....all have differing circumstances, vehicles, trailers and driving habits- makes no sense. Just figure out what YOUR setup is doing and plan accordingly. Over time, I've learned that for trip planning, with MY truck, MY camper and MY driving habits, our setup costs right at 35-40 cents a mile (when diesel was $3.80+-) to get from point A to point B....and that computes to about 11mpg - FOR ME

You don't have the appropriate tuner.
You need to be using efi live.
those handheld one tune fits all bricks are worthless.
