Leave her at home? Oh heck no, I put her tush to work! "You run in there and pay for the weight ticket while I go park this and look cute while doing it."

Plus, you need her weight in the seat to get an accurate picture. I had wife and 2 kids (we were on our way to a campground).

NOW.. if I was trying to dial in a WDH hitch for a bumper-pull... that might be another story!

Don't understand how a CAT scale can disprove the truck sticker. The scale is just giving an actual wt.

Obviously myredracer will need to clarify and I agree with you - it doesn't change/disprove the sticker.

But, (and I've said it a hundred times) - I was really surprised to see what we + our stuff weighed.

Maybe that's what he meant - he lost a 1,000 pounds of payload in the same way that I lost 1,200. People, stuff, hitch, stuff in the bed, etc...

Some reason, I was so intrigued with the discussion (AGAIN) that I've read through this whole thread and now need an adult beverage & a nap!

To help solve this issue, I recommend we take up a small fee from every FRF member and use those dollars to hire one or more of the big 3 U.S. truck manufactures engineers to consultant via Skype about the numbers & settle these discussions! LOL

If we're not careful, the big 3 will recruit all of our "Safety Experts" and we'll have to all just park our rigs or hire a trucking firm to move them from cg to cg.
