Towing with 2009 Nissan Titan

Is anyone towing a Flagstaff 30 fifthwheel with a 2009 Nissan Titan crewcab with short bed? If so, what type of fifth wheel are you using?
Thanks.

I don't think you even want tor try it. A short bed is not a truck for a 5th wheel, and I don't think your wheelbase is long enough. Do a search on towing one here, lot of questions, answers, and recommendations. Did you read the thread I pointed you to in your last post? Also be a little more specific on the trailer model number. Include pin weight, and gross weight if you know it. Need a few specs on the tow vehicle, engine, trans, rear gear, how many people, dogs, bicycles, etc, Meanwhile, Welcome.

The thread windrider referred you to is the best advice that you'll find regarding towing capabillities.
The only ½ ton I would consider to tow a fifth wheel would have to be one of the HD versions. Then it would only be one of the smaller, lighter fifth wheels. The main reason is the hitch weights. TT's run 10-15% of loaded trailer weight while 5'ers run 15-25%. Usually ½ tons don't have the payload capacity to handle the heavier hitch weight.

It's been quite a while back, but someone posted in the Rockwood forum with photos of them towing a Rockwood 8265S (about 28') with a Titan crew cab. But I believe he had the special swiveling hitch pin on that trailer and a slider hitch in the truck.

I have a Titan as well but I decided to go with a travel trailer. I originally looked at 5th wheels but didn't want to pay the price for a hitch plus we couldn't find any models that we liked with the correct hitch weight. I think most people with the short bed trucks opt for the Pullrite hitch.

Yep it was a burgundy Titan and he put bags in the back to level it I think.

Weighed my Wildwood & Tow vehicle and am confused...

Check out post number 23 and we will talk when you have numbers to work with. Most F150/1500 series towables are rated that way empty. Put much beyond a sleeping bag in it and you are in the F250/2500HD category.

Maybe you should leave the posting, and the hauling, to your dad.
You seem to be doing a lot of bragging about doing stupid things.
Pulling a trackhoe on a trailer with a Nissan is not very intelligent.
