The batteries will only last a year or so on each sending unit.
'IF' your monitor starts screaming at you and you pull over and find nothing wrong with the tire, it may be the battery on that tire is getting low and needs replacing. 'If' finding nothing 'wrong' on 'that tire', restart monitor and it will 'reset/find', in locating each unit. The 'unit' that was screaming may reset its' self and work fine for the time being or the monitor may not 'pickup' the unit (battery to low). It is 'ok' to drive with out that 'unit' not working and check it over at a later time. We had one unit that was not working correctly and the monitor 'looks' at it and goes to the next unit. Drove 4-5 hours with the monitor 'passing over' the dead unit and then 'saw' something wrong and started beeping for the dead unit. Checked tire...all fine and reset the monitor. Just drive as it you had no 'unit' on that tire. Easy to take apart unit and check battery voltage with a volt meter.
