TPMS Batteries - Winter storage

Does anyone go through the aggravation of removing their batteries (if able to do so) on their TPMS. I figure they are transponding all winter long. I may just take them off for safe storage and remove the batteries also. I probably have to re-calibrate in spring.

Looking for what others have done / do.

I replace all of the batteries just before the first trip of the spring. They aren't all that expensive on line and I get to start the camping year with fresh ones. I just leave them in during the winter.

I remove mine in the winter out of principle. I replace all my batteries each spring. If ordered online they are very inexpensive.

I would remove the senders from the tires for storage. The TST sender units shut themselves off when they sense no pressure. So I do not bother removing the batteries from the sender units. That way you do not have to reprogram the units in the spring.

I have each of mine labeled, RF, RR, LF, LR. Just remove them from the valve stems. The TST system that I have doesn't transmit if it's reading "zero" pressure, so just take them off and store them until next spring. No need to remove the batteries.

I remove from tires, removed batteries and store for next year. I labelled mine so that I put back each one on same tire and no reprogramming to do......

I leave mine on year round, I drive my truck year round. The batteries are cheap and it doesn't take long to change out the batteries, my batteries usually last two years. Besides we go somewhere about every month

As already stated, If you have a TST system, remove from tire for the winter and put back on same tire and you are ready to go. (This is as per the TST company.)

I have Tire Minder, their current policy is to replace the batteries @ no charge. when I winterize my trailer, I take the TP units off, remove the batteries & send them to Tire Minder. They send me new batteries & "O" Rings, I reinstalled them each spring, when I de-winterize my trailer.

I have the TST system and have left the original batteries in the monitors on the tires for the past 3 years. I purchased new batteries so I could swap them out several years ago. I just decided to wait until the original batteries died before replacing. They must be energizers because they just keep going and going and going... Now I kinda just want to see how long they will last.
