TPMS Lying Sensor

I FINALLY (Yeah!!) got my TPMS 507 sensors installed, new batteries, and headed out Friday. They 'almost' worked great.

ONE sensor is lying to me. It is beeping as pressure below the threshold of 90 lbs......showing 86 sometimes and 84 sometimes......when a tire gauge shows that tire (and the other 3 also) to be 100 lbs.

I turn off the beeping........and as the tire heats up, the pressure builds and when it gets above 90 it's fine........but even though the other 3 will eventually build up to around 116, that one never builds past 101. I.E., it is always about 16 lbs low.

Anyone else ever see this?

I've called M. Benson and I am sure TST will make it right, they're awesome. But this is odd.

Just guessing....

Put that sensor on another tire (it will still 'read' as if it is on the first location as that is where it is 'programmed') and the sensor front that second tire to the first.

Any difference?

The RV senors are 'programed' Per axle. ie. both sensors on the front axle will be 'programed' with the same highs and lows The second axle is 'programed' the same for each tire on that axle.Your 'lows' may not be 'low' enough.

You may also take the sensor apart and check the voltage and CONTACT of the battery.

You may also need to reprogram that sensor to the monitor.

Or the sensor is being 'dropped' and the alarm is going off until a good connection is made.

Not sure what is really going on... just a few suggestions.

My out look, if you are used a sensor on each tire (8), at least 7 are 'talking' to you.... I am sure that it is an easy 'fix'.

Let us know what you find out.
