Question TPMS system on Amazon.

Anyone using this system? For the price, I was thinking of getting it.

While I don't use it, I have seen positive remarks about it on this forum. I use the TST-507 system which seems to be the most popular and has excellent reviews.

Does the TST-507 work on a travel trailer? i see a lot of them stating you need the signal booster. Does the kit come with everything needed? Here is the one I found:

https://tsttruck.com/product/507-starter-system-kit/

Just want to make sure it is the right kit.

Yes, the TST-507 works on trailers. I use mine on my 42' fifth wheel mostly without issue. I do have one tire that disappears pretty regularly and that started more recently. I'm going to get a repeater but was fine for a good year.

Personally, I'd try to go without a repeater until you find that you need it.

The linked starter set has 4 sensors, so it's good for 4 tires (e.g. your trailer). I wanted protection for my truck tires also and so I bought extra sensors. Otherwise, it has what you need.

Great. Thanks for the info. I am upgrading my truck soon, so i will make sure it has the TPMS already, and if not, I will order more sensors too. thanks!

I did extensive research on TPMS systems and took a hard look at the TST system. I went with this one https://www.amazon.com/EEZTire-Tire-...words=eez+tpms

I have had it over a year without any problems. It works great and has a larger display than the TST.

I've used a Tire Minder for years. I monitor 12 tires with mine (8 on coach + 4 on Toad). Has saved me several times. The only problem I've had is that occasionally it will lose signal to a sensor. Usually this happens when the battery is starting to go. The batteries are real cheap on Amazon, so I just change them all at the start of the season and have very little trouble.

One thing to check is what are your valve stems made of? They have a special sensor made for aluminum stems (the one you linked to had sensors for everything else). Trying to remember my chemistry here, but if you have aluminum stems, and attach a steel-threaded sensor to it there may be corrosion problems... Amazon sells aluminum sensors too: https://www.amazon.com/2-Pack-Alumin...inder+aluminum

That's the one I've had for a few years. It's a fabulous system. I highly recommend the 507. Over the years I come to realize that the anti theft jacket was more trouble than it's worth so I removed it. It also makes it much easier to change the battery without that jacket. I also do not have the flow through sensors as I don't want to replace my rubber valves with metal ones.

I have the TrailAir pin box and I'm installing one sensor on it, it will be the flow through. Another vote for TST

Try replacing the batteries before you buy the repeater. It's not uncommon for the transmitter range to decrease as battery level gets lower. If it has worked good for a year, it's about battery time anyway.

I use TireMinder A1A system. Works great. Caught couple issues immediately. Pressures are very accurate compared to a handheld pressure gauge while temperatures run slightly off compared to a digital IR temperature reader. Approaching 10K miles on OEM Westlake tires. I don't buy into China Bomb rhetoric. Take care of your tires (pressure, proper loading, road speed, inspections, storage etc) and you will get normal life span out of them. I pushed last set if tires to to just over 6 years and 25K miles. It starts with good TPMS.

Ependydad, if you are going to replace one battery, replace them all at one time. VOE.

I did a lot of research before I bought my Eez tire system, it was one of the few that no one complained about signal loss using no repeater. I use mine pulling a 36' TT behind a long bed truck and have never lost a signal. Their boast was not needing a repeater, and I believe that to be true from my experience.
