trailer brakes

I really feel dumb asking this question but here goes anyway.

I have a 2004 rockwood roo 21ss. How do i know if my camper is equipped with trailer brakes. I just recently found the 2 30amp fuses and wire harness in a baggie. I know i need to relays as well. but if I go through all the trouble of hooking up the relays and fuses if I buy a brake controller will it work on my camper?

Which or what type and size of block relays do I need to purchase?

Thanks for your input!

If you look behind the wheels and see wires you most likely have electric brakes. In fact I would bet 100% that you do. A lot of your brake controllers are of the plug and play type. This however depends on what type of tv you have. All brake controlls do the same thing, send current to the brakes. Some just do it better and smoother. Go to your locol RV place and check them out, and to your auto place to check out if you tv is plug and play.

yes, you have electric brakes on your Roo.

the question is does your tow vehicle have a factory tow package with wiring for a brake controller and the 7-pin connector and is it big enough to tow the 21SS.

all trailers over a certain weight, are required to have brakes.
that's why some lighter popups don't have them because they are under that weight.
