Trailer Jack "Flip Foot" ??
I have been interested in installing a Fastway Flip Foot on my trailer tongue jack. If one can believe the advertising, it is just what I am looking for to avoid using wood to raise the level of the tongue. Anyone have an comments, experience or opinions on this item?

Interesting idea, but I have not found the need to change or modify my typical Lippert power jack.

I installed one on my Wildwood 17EXL last year not long after getting it. It works great. Had a tent trailer before it and of course it had the wheel dolly to put on the bottom of the jack leg, the new trailer did not have anything. First time I used it, not thinking about it and did not have any wood to put under leg and the leg was not long enought to get the trailer off the hitch.
It is easy to install and flips up and out of the way as you crank up the jack for travelling and quite sturdy when down in place. I would recommend it.

I recently installed one of these devices. It does work as promised though trailers that are low riders will have issues. It is almost too long. I have a surveyor 235. I don't have a power jack, it cuts down on the cranking!

I looked at that myself. I wanted so I didnt have to crank the handle so darn much. I did not purchase to due the weight rating being really close to my tongue weight. Figured with the bed in the front we would be adding too much weight while using the camper. So I went electric, no more cranking

I have one on my trailer with a power jack and love it, I figured it save's time and it should save the jack in the end cause it doesn't have to travel so far. As for high ground you simply set it at a 90* angle on your block.

It's 1400lbs, here's the rest of the warnings from the install manual.
Read entire instruction manual before using this product. Failure to
do so can result in serious injury or death.
• Never exceed max 1,400 lb. tongue weight rating.
• Do not use to support trailer parked on grade greater than 3% (1.72°).
• Chock tires on both sides while supporting trailer with jack foot.
• Do not support trailer with jack foot placed on un-level ground or
debris. Jack foot base plate must be in complete contact with ground.
• Support tongue weight with jack foot in vertical position only when
attachment bolt is resting at bottom of guide slot.
• Replace worn or faded safety label immediately.
• Install only on a 2-1/4” jack with a 2” outside dimension inner jack
tube.

My tongue is about 1100 when towing. By the time I put our clothes up front and add our weight to the bed we would prob be closer than I would have felt safe. But I only wanted so I didn't have to crank so much. The electric jack fixed that well!!!

I just got one of the red cones. Seems like it has 1200 lbs capacity. I like this because it's plastic, not wood. Wet dirty wood does not go in my camper if I can help it. Same reason I never used wood for leveling, even with the popup. I've used the same set of Lynx levelers for 9 seasons now. None have cracked.

I do recommend the Fastway ZIP Breakaway Cable:

No more straight cable getting tangled in the chains. It self-coils and clips to the breakaway switch when not in use.

I got one of these as well and loved it. Lot less cranking. But stopped using after i got the elec jack as it has a wide foot

Electric jack would be awesome, mostly to eliminate the up/down exercise when installing the WDH bars. Just not enough financial priority (yet).

My BIL just put one on their Spree this weekend. Pretty neat but I'll stick with my pads I made out of 2x8's as I have to throw the stablizer blocks out of the truck box anyway for DW to put under the stabilizers so I see no gain other than the larger hole in my wallet. But he likes gizmos so more power to him. Also with my homemade pads they can be any thickness I need as I have 3 different ones depending on where we are parked.

Bummer.
I bought one of these last week in Jacksonville. I went to put it on yesterday and it doesn't fit. My powerjack leg is about 3/8th of an inch to large I'm bummed, I was really looking forward to using this flip jack. Now I have to go back and fight the RV dealer to keep them from charging me a 20% restocking fee.
I also bought the breakaway cable and it works great.

Well, I got to thinking about this when I got home and decided to look at this again. When I went into the RV dealer and saw these on sale I got to looking at them and asked the counter guy if it would fit and he said the 2 1/4" should fit my TT. So I bought that and the breakaway cable. Out of habit, and since I live over 2 hours away from the dealer, when I went out to the truck I decided to check the contents of the box and sure enough it was missing some parts. So I went back in and the counter guy gave me a new box. With my tunnel vision now of making sure there were no missing parts in the new box I didn't notice he gave me a 2" version So good news is I will exchange it for the larger version, bad news is I have to drive over 2 hours to get it Live and learn!
