trailer nose hitting truck cab

We own a 2013 Blue Ridge 3025 being towed by a Dodge 2500, and on two separate occasion we have had the nose of the trailer dent the top portion of the cab of the truck. Has anyone else experienced this problem? We do have a manual slide hitch, but it is hitting on a simple turn into our campground. We have looked into the Sidewinder tongue extension or possibly the Pull Rite automatic slide hitch. Any advice out there?

Just in case you didn't know... There are usually pin box adjustments. Aren't there?

I have the Reese Revolution/Sidewinder on my trailer, with a 5.5 foot bed and I have no issues. I took mine into a parking lot to see if I could and I can turn 90 degrees without hitting. I get to abut 4 inches from the cab at the worst point. It works good for me.

I did have manual slider also, but found that I did not need it so I have a regular hitch now, which is lighter and easier to get out.

My friend has a pull right which is nice and it works, but it is heavy and takes two people to get it out.

Good luck

I have a pullright and have no problem un-hitching it by myself.

It all depends on the length of the end cap and loction of the king pin as to your need for a sliding hitch. My king pin is about 18 inches from the front of the end cap. Some king pins petrude out from under decreasing the need for a slider.
