Transmission Temp w/ Torque Pro

Has anyone used the ODB to Bluetooth adapter and the Torque Pro App on Android to measure transmission temperature?

Torque — OBD2 Performance and Diagnostics for your Vehicle

I have found the MFG specific PID for Chrysler and Jeep but it does not seem to work with a 2004 Durango 5.7 Hemi. Any clues?

I have tried "Method 3" as well as the Chrysler specific codes with no help. With the various methods I get either -32, -40 nothing or it mirrors coolant temperature. And yes I know the sensor is shared with Park/Neutral and only works in gear.

Any help is appreciated.

Yes I was able to set this up on my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I selected "Transmission Temp (Jeep 2012 and later)

Here is a more detailed step by step.
1.Open Torque Pro App.
2.Tap the gear symbol lower left corner (settings button)
3.Tap "Settings" in menu.
4.Scroll down to "Manage extra PIDs/Sensors" and tap it.
5.Somewhere there will be a menu button, this could be different on different phones. Mine is the top right corner. Once open there will be a menu with an option that says "Add Predefined Set" Select that one. This will open another menu. Top one says "Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Mercedes" Select that one.
6.You have now loaded 3 PIDs. One of them pertains to your JK.
7.Back all the way out to the main home screen and go to "Realtime Information" Find an open screen. Hold your finger down and a menu will pop up. Select "Add Display" Pick the type of display (I like the Half Dial because it will show a min and max temp) A big list pops up now. Scroll through the huge list until you get to the Transmission temp and pick the correct one for your jeep.
8. Place dial where you want it.
9. You are good to go.
10.If you went in and screwed with the formulas in the PID you can delete the PID and start over. Don't mess with the PIDs unless you know what they do. I haven't heard with issues with Chrysler but there have been issues with other makes screwing things up by messing with the PIDs.

Hopefully, you are good to go now.

Thanks WestCoastRV'er for the detailed response. I actually have a 2004 Durango and did follow those exact steps in addition to all the other methods found in the Torque forums. I use the BullyDog and it reads tranny temperature just fine so I know the sensor is present and that the ELM is OK. It is my gut feeling that the 2nd Gen Durango has a different PID than the "Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Mercedes" PID.

Anyway, I do appreciate the response. It is not often someone posts such detailed information. I know this probably belongs in the Torque Forum but this question has been asked multiple times with no valid solution for me.
