I had a trifold on my 2500 Silverado while pulling my CC 34 SATS. While pulling into a gas station, the front of my fiver slammed into the cover stack-up resulting in holes in the front overhang of the fiver and a ruined tonneau cover. I now have a roll-up that fits inside the box.

cover it.

I have a Roll-N-Lock, it keeps everything dry and safe and is easy to operate. Best of all it locks my tailgate.

X2. It is a bit pricey. I have the same cvr. Only leaks at the bottom of the tailgate. Other than that it locks in any position. It has exceeded my expectations.

I have the Retrax 1. Completely waterproof. You can stop it at any position and lock it. I do have to turn the hitch handle down to have it closed. $1300 & well worth it IMO.

I've gone thru 2 Retrax Pro covers and neither have been waterproof. The first one leaked like a sieve and was actually replaced under warranty because of it. The second one isn't as bad, but I still get a fair amount of water intrusion.

I don't remember the difference between the Retrax Pro & the Retrtax 1 but, maybe that is why mine doesn't leak. I have not found one drop of water in mine and I have driven through some really ahrd rtain storms.

Does This Model Lock?

No need to block your back window when towing either...

Nice and clean when closed

Not the cheapest out there by any means, but does have quality and longevity going for it.

I was wondering if this one locks secure when your rig is not hooked up. I would like a spare tank and toolbox in front of the hitch. But I would also like to store some things when driving around town.

It latches inside the box, so if your tailgate locks, it is fairly secure.

I have a flip back type cover and tow my 40 ft toy hauler with it flipped half way back.
I also am using a B&W under bed flip ball with fiver companian slider model, all with 2015 Chevy 3500. I take out the fiver hitch when not in use and the bed is completely clear for use. Made a wheeled cart to move and store it.
