Truck Questions
I have to chuckle at some of these threads about trucks and the rationality that people use for their choices. I get the impression that most ask a question to the forum but already have a preconceived answer they want to hear and are just looking for confirmation from a handful of responses to make them feel they made the right choice.
Obviously you’re going to get a mixed bag of results here take it for what it’s worth….Whether it’s brand loyalty, 1 ton, ¾, ton, ½ ton gas or diesel it does make for entertainment

There will always be those that say if you don't have a 1-ton dually, you can't pull a 10ft utility trailer with a garden tractor on it safely. To each his own, Live and let Live.

Agreed! And those who say their 15 yr old 1/2 ton handles their 14K 40' 5th wheel just fine!

That's really 1 ton territory there buddy. The right truck for that job will have an Allison transmission, Cummins engine and the problem will be circled in blue on the grill.
At the very least, it should get an even 37 mpg towing that trailer up to the Eisenhower Tunnel.
In all seriousness, I do agree with the OP.
Thread starters ask a question for 1 of 2 reasons:
1. They flat out don't know, are trying to get informed about an upcoming or already made purchase and get a barrage of opinions.....I mean answers.
2. They know the problem and the answer they want to know but also know it's likely not a wise set up. But, want reassurance that somebody else did it with success before them.
Either way, it nearly always turns into one or all of the following pissing matches of which is better with no actual data to back it up:
1. Chevy, Ford, Nissan, Ram, Toyota
2. Diesel vs. Gas
3. 1/2, 3/4 & 1 ton

... and if a thread is not posted every week asking for real information, someone will stir the gallery with a thread ridiculing those other threads.
