rednose, did you look at your drivers door sticker, for the truck's payload capacity?
if so, what is it?

His truck is a '97, it won't be listed in the door jam. I think is was required in 2006

You can get those Bobby pins at Tractor supply, Atwoods, or about any place that sells tractors. Hardware stores also.
