TV brake pads

Not good enough. I just with out and checked my 2006 F350 with the factory installed controller and it also lights the brake lights on the trailer.

So just to let everyone know, it your brake controller does not light your trailer brake lights when you squeeze it then you have a problem.

I'll check mine tomorrow when I pick it up. I wonder if it makes a difference that it's a factory installed controller? I have a Prodigy P2. I had a buddy following me one day and I hit the manual activation on my P2. I asked him on a cell phone "Did my brake lights come on just now?". He said "No". Maybe he thought I said "Do you like Barry Manilow?". After all, it was a cell phone!

I'm curious now about aftermarket brake controllers. Do they illuminate TT brake lights? What about TV brake lights? Does the controller energize the whole circuit?

I apologize if I was spreading inaccurate information....

Have to agree with transamz on this one. My brake controller on my Sunseeker lights the brakes on my enclosed trailer. I have the controller mount up high in arms reach because I use it almost all the time when city driving or when we hit a town at rush hour.

My tow vehicle that I tow my 5'er with ('05 RAM) has an aftermarket controller in it.

The best way to straighten a trailer out that is fishtailing is to keep off the truck brakes and manually apply the trailer brakes. Have done it many, many times pulling horse/stock trailers.

Going back to the original question...I use China Zone Kevlar based brake pads on my '99 Suburban. I use this to tow my 18' car hauler, loaded. I do have trailer brakes on both axles of the hauler but no brake controller inside yet. As for my CC, I use my DW's '07 Harley F250. That one has a built in brake controller.

Properly loaded trailer should not sway.
If its swaying your going to fast for improperly loaded trailer
