Sounds easy.............it isn't.

We attempted that once here in PA and all states have different requirements / regulations regarding it. I dropped $200 in 20 minutes with our attorney to find out we would have to take on the other parties insurance company ourselves and possibly the other party personally. Don't expect any help from your own insurance carrier. The cost to take the first step was more than any potential gain.

Good thing it didn't happen in Mich."No Fault Ins.State" each person fixs their own Vehicle! Had a Mich.vehicle hit us so hard that the back of the seat bent/broke,my knees broke the Tilt wheel assy in the steering column, and we ended up in the back seat! Chevy CC Dually 3500,complete bed replacement less the Dually fenders! Went to a Frame shop "NO Damage" We drove it for 1 more year towing all was fine, just Lots of Money to repair! Youroo!!

So sorry to hear about your accident. You have gotten very good advice on your truck repairs. Please be sure you go to the doctor. A 3 day headache is not normal. Whiplash or a concussion can have long term consequences. Take care of you too!

Metal and plastic is repairable, everyone walked away. Don't get in any hurry to get your rig fixed until you research shops. Get yourself checked and make sure you are healthy.
Get a rental on their dime. Some dealerships have excellent body shops and lifetime warranties on the repairs. Frames can be tricky. I had similar experience 15 years ago with an F250. The frame never was straight. I ended up selling it and upgrading.

Start doing your research and talk to your local Ram service manager for recomendations.
