TV Surging???

Hi There,

We are rookies and bought a 2011 Puma 27DSQ, and our TV is a 2013 GMC Sierra, 1500 with factory tow package, we were camping for the first time this past weekend and noticed a few times the TV was surging when we were travelling down the highway. I will check with the dealer on this and I was just wondering any thoughts??.

Trailer- 2011 Puma 27 DSQ
TV - 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 w/tow package and 5.3 LT engine

I'll bite

It is crazy to try and diagnose without being there but I’ll bite.
I have had surging in several situations:
Being in 3rd gear, cruse-control and going down hill. The truck trans is slowing it down and the cruse is speeding it up
Braking with the brake controller up to high. The trailer will slow harder than the truck and turn/brake on and off.
Could even be a head wind issue, its amazing how much drag can come from a trailer.
Then ,in my experience, there is a TV issue and should get an “engine light”
Good luck
John
