You have coil on plug so the OE wires almost never go bad. Fresh plugs, new air and fuel filter, oil change, and Lucas "Tune up in a Bottle" are good choices.
A tuner usually wakes that motor up a bit. Edge makes some nice ones.
The factory airbox on that truck is not that bad compared to the older style so just a drop in performance filter would be enough and you can pull the screen out that sits in front of the MAF. That is a waste of time. In the performance world, that is the first thing to go on an LS based motor.
