Are you saying he's trying load the boat AND the Jeep on that trailer? The tongue on the boat looks very high, did the boat get away from him?

I'm thinking the boat has to be loaded that way to get the necessary clearance for the Jeep roof.
At one point we use to double trailer and it looked a lot worse than that! I will have to see if I can find one of those lovely pictures!

Fiberglass boat, roughly 19', w/trailer would be 2-3000lbs. 4 door Jeep Unlimited would be about 4000 curb. Trailer to haul it would probably be in the range of 22-24' (and that one looks like a steel hauler) and at least 2500-3000lbs. so total, we would be looking at a minimum guesstimite of about 9-10k lbs. can coaches pull that back there?

At least that is a lighter load on a trailer designed to do it. An aluminum boat and a tiny tracker is much more tow friendly. Still wouldnt want to tow that though. A little top heavy for my tastes.

Coach with 500 HP diesel, 1750 lbs/ft torque, 54,500 GVWR would probably tow 10K with no sweat.
(3500 Dodge 350 HP Diesel, 650 lbs/ft torque is rated at 13.5 K towing)

It's not the engine, its the chasis. The hemi is in the 2500 Ram as well, but it is limited by the chasis in the 1500. From what I have gathered, many coach RV's are limited to around 5k towing... any class A owners on to chime in on this one?

Many Class A's have a fully enclosed tow trailer with a large vehicle in it. Those must weight close to 10K loaded.
My 2006 F150 had a chassis weight of around 5K, the 3500 has a chassis weight of over 7K.

I did some poking around, and on a Fleetwood 42M, it can tow 15k max with 1500 tongue weight. It looks like the 5k ratings come from the installed 5k hitches. So the limiting factor is the hitch. They must make add-on hitches for higher ratings then. I kept looking around and all I saw was "5000lb hitch" as the "Feature" and saw a lot of toad postings about 5k max ratings on deisel pushers.

You see alot of motorhomes like that pulling stacker trailers at dragstrips with a 2 or 3 race cars, a golfcart, a couple of scooters, and a whole bunch of tools.

If he can afford to buy and drive that rig I would think that he could afford to have a few mods done so it could easily and safely handle the loads.

Looks like you can go to 18,000#, you just have to have the wherewithal ($) to get there. My next purchase is a front mount so I can move my bicycle carrier to the front. Mounted my generator on the back of trailer, need somewhere else to carry toys.

Mods are done everyday. Unless you know what their set-up is you really can't say "they can't do that". I pull my boat behind my 5-er and this guy chooses to do it a different way. Both ways work and a lot of thought and work goes into it.
BTW , it the OP's first picture, they Jeep is towed with two wheels on the trailer and two on the road.
Here's a video of him loading the boat............

With that setup, if you would take the time to make a rig to pull the whole trailer on the truck, why not just make a winch setup to just pull the boat onto the back of the truck sans trailer? Just a thought. Interesting setup, none the less.
