This 1st trip with the new Ram i kept short just 40 miles from home next trip planned will be 290 miles round trip then we planned the 3rd trip 600 miles round trip. The new Ram needs a bigger fuel tank. LOL

Going to test this Ram out on a 600 plus miles trip tomorrow. It has towed 18,000# 5er so far and doesn't even slow down for hills. Going to be more hills this trip. I'll let you know how it does.

Nice new TV. A 3500 was the obvious choice. Dont be afraid of the DEF, it actually helped milage go up from the previous 6.7. I had a 2010, same as yours and even deleted and tuned, the best ever was 16mpg unladed. Your truck will get that still corked up. Deleted and tuned, they are night and day but I'm sure you want to ride that warranty out a little to make sure she is bug free.

Enjoy!

This was my 2010:

I think you have a 35 gallon. My 2010 did. Yes, it could use a larger one. My 14 Dmax has a 38.

Once you delete and tune your truck, expect a 2-4mpg increase in milage across the board. I got 2 more towing and 4 more unloaded on the highway. Over 35-40 gallons, that is a nice jump.

As far as hills, the Cummins doesnt even sneeze at them. It should stay in 6th as well! LOL
