All the best to the OP to find the right solution for him within his budget.
OP is so happy for you, 5 new Fords is less than 2 yrs.

why do 3/4T and larger trucks insist on commenting on a 1/2 ton truck thread?
I consider my affordable "entry level" Ram 2500 CC w/5.7 (or 6.4) Hemi & 3,000 payload suggestion a very genuine and affordable alternative. The 2012+ models have a tow capacity of 11,000+ & GCVW of 17,000+ which would handle the OP's 8,000 (empty) TT plus family & gear. IMO he could practically trade-even if he sold his Titan FSBO & found a good deal on the Ram...

Also, as his 2011 Titan ages it will cost more to repair vs. Ram/Ford/Chevy... I used to own a Nissan & there were not as many aftermarket parts choices making even simple DIY repairs pricey... Nissan sells a fraction of Titans compared to Ram/Chevy/and especially Ford...

My 2500 tows best with 15% tongue weight, which is 1200 for an 8,000 (empty) TT. Add some gear to the TT and it's 9,250 & tongue of 1400. Add a couple average-size Americans & a few conveniences to the cab & he's going to be over 1800 payload.

The additional spring is the overload, which you can get on the F250 with the camper package.

Now back to Old Coot's regularly scheduled 1/2 ton discussion!

What really helped my setup was a Hellwig Rear Anti-Roll bar.

OP if you are seriously concerned, there is yet another option that I believe no one has mentioned. That would be to upgrade your hitch to a Hensley Arrow or the Pro Pride P3 units. They are practically the same, work extremely well but are very expensive yet cheaper than a new truck. I do have one but I got it dirt cheap and absolutely love it. I used it with my Titan and when I purchased the 3\4 T I thought I didn't need it anymore. Well after a couple trips with the Blue Ox I went back to the HA. It is a world of difference in sway performance.

That half tons have less accidents than larger trucks pulling rvs. Statistics don't often cooperate.

Sorry but the advertisement for the law firm seems in poor taste in this forum. Make your point, but you should pay the organizers for an advertisement for legal services! Just saying,,,,,,

Actually if anyone is running overloaded and is at fault in an accident that information could be valuable to forum members. They or a like firm should be great for defense as well. Even more valuable after the criminal trial during the civil suit.
