Upgrading TV

Looking at going from a Silverado 2500 HD Gasser to a 3500 HD 6.6l deisel. Our tt is about 6000k loaded.
We are thinking of getting a 5er next.
Anyone have a Silverado 3500 srw they tow with that can provide input?
Thanks in advance.

You are gonna be very happy with making that switch. There is no comparison with the 6.0 and the 6.6 duramax. IMO I think the 6.0 is very gutless for being in a 3/4 ton truck. The Titan and the tundra will out pull that engine with a 6000 pound trailer with ease and there half tons. I know a 3/4 has a much higher gvw but add more weight to a 6.0 and you are gonna have a hell of a time. You will be much happier.

I knew you would like it. I am currently pulling a 26 foot toy hauler with a Nissan titan. The hauler fully loaded weighs about 6800 pounds with two quads. Although my truck pulls it fine I am overloading the truck. My next truck will be a dodge 3/4 ton with a cummins. It will still be a couple of years so I have to make due for now but I can't wait to get one some day.

If I was getting a 5er that is over 11,500 lbs, I would get a dually.

Ok....what truck? What trailer? This truck will safely pull any trailer we would ever dream about getting. The dually does not get that much more.

I am glad I got the SRW. Awesome truck!!

BTW......what truck do you have and what do you pull?
