Using a Flip-Foot on Electric Tongue Jack
This past week while staying at an older state park, I came across a situation that initially prevented me from leveling the 26 ft trailer front to rear.. I never realized until it was to late that the RV paved pad, although was perfectly level from side to side, it was considerably lower in the back than where the trailer hitch was. After unhooking from the TV, and removing the wt distribution bars, I proceeded to lower the tongue with the electric jack to level the trailer front to rear.. I have the Flip Foot installed on my jack and it wanted to retract before the front was low enough to be level... at first I was going to leave it there but I went to plan B. I have a hydraulic bottle jack I carry in the TV so I raised the trailer frame up high enough so that the flip foot would retract. Then I placed wooden blocks under the retracted foots side and lowered it until the side of the foot rested on the blocks. Now the trailer could be leveled but this was a PITA.. Anyone else using a flip foot that has experienced this and how did you take care of it? Maybe removing the Flip Foot and going back to the adjustable foot is the answer????
