Viair System installed

I thought I would post a couple of pics of my Viair 10007 install. Made up an ingenious bracket that I found on another forum. It is made out of 1" thick walled Square tubing and 1" wide cap steel with 10"x1/2" bolts with locking nuts.

Did the install under the right side of my dually. Anyone with Fords from '99 on can put them here, but may interfere if you put electric AMP steps on.
I mounted the tank on the bracket that I made. Then put the tank into place and tightened. I then put the compressor behind the tank on a Viair compressor bracket bolted to the frame with grade 8 bolts(a little overkill but!).

I ran the compressor breather tube up into the grommet on the lower right rear of the cab. Took a hole punch and punched a hole in the grommet and fed the tubing through, put on the filter and curled it up behind back seat(always gets good air). Then wired it all up and put an air chuck under the right side of the truck. I went back and put a 90* cut off in place to stop the leaking.

Once wired up to the upfitter switches, I piped all of the tubing through the flex boot under the dash and up through a Dual Firestone Pneumatic Guage so I can inflate each one independently. Love having air bags that I adjust on the fly.

I then thought about how to keep the air connection free from debris. This is what I came up with.

Make sure to put a coat of lithium grease in the rubber cap to help you get it on and off. This system has been on the truck for about 9 months or so now. It has a 100% duty cycle compressor so I can air up tires, floats or whatever I need air for. I love it.

I'll admit, I'm a little jelly. I looked at these and couldn't justify the cost for me. But, man oh day, what a nice setup!

Very nice! My Airlift QuickShot system is one of the best mods that I have done to my truck. Not only for use with the bags but the system gets used at least 2-3 times every camping trip for filling bike tires or toys for the kids.
