If your talking ignition recall, its only on cobalts, g5, saturn ions, hhr, solstice, sky, and pontiac pursuit. At least that's the big 2+million recall

They hid it as long as they could after they denied the problem. The GM recall is also from 10 yrs back. You figure out whose in Congress' pocket.

By the millions ford has about 1/3rd to almost twice the overall vehicle # according to that.

I was buying a Pierce firetruck/tanker with a Kenworth chassis a few years ago for our fire dept. One of the selling points on the truck was that it was in three seperate pieces. The truck chassis, the cab, and the 3000 gal. tank that were all independent of each other. The reason was that each piece needed to flex when twisted to keep from breaking apart. Fire trucks with all that water weight go places where they shouldn't go. This kept the trucks from falling apart.
Now, would this thought apply to pick up trucks?

My 2005 F 250 has a buckle mark in the tailgate. It is in the same spot where the buckle happened due to stress in the tailgate. It was there when I bought it two years ago. Very interesting.

Send a message via MSN to Tiggerdad
Saw a commercial several years ago when all the 1/2 tons ran on a rumble strip. The Toyota tailgate buckled and the bed behind the driver actually hit the cab.

I am a guy who happens to own a Ford because the other two have some serious problems when it comes to meeting customer needs.

Dodge is so narcissistic that unless you are willing to pay sticker price or more your money is no good.
Chevy and or GMC offer one only dress package if you do not like it your money is no good.

I bought a Ford for no other reason than they sold me what I wanted nothing more nothing less.

Ford earned the near 40k in my book.

Everything I have/own will earn it's keep or I will replace it, just ask my ex-wife.

Sorry, gm takes a couple years to offer different options after a body or frame change, like the z71 appearance package with painted grille and bumper.
At least your happy with what you've got! Thats all that really matters since you gotta pay for it!

All I can say is that a guy in Texas that works on these trucks for a living says the Ford diesels keep food on his plate and a roof over his head. He does oil changes on the other two...
