Well maybe I didn't go into enough detail?
Some sites are very sandy, gritty....
Bars an hitch need to stay clean, looking to see what other folks use to store their WDH, bars in while camping. Trying to avoid TT storage bin.
I know I can put them under the A Frame! Lol (But Thank you! )

Bars get laid on the ground and cleaned before reinstalling. Hitch stays on truck.

Cover the greasy end with a disposal nitrile glove and lay them across the "A" frame.

I had some brackets made and then I installed them on the floor joists in my pass-through on my '14 Flagstaff. Bars went there but the head unit went in a receiver I had a buddy weld to the frame at the front of the trailer....

I frequently see mentioned the need to cover the greasy ends of the bars. Mine have no grease whatsoever on them. The end that goes on the TT brackets should not be greased. The end that goes in the hitch sockets should not have grease on them unless you are over greasing the sockets themselves.

Leave my bars in the truck bed. Store the hitch in a trash bag under the TT.

I have a Rubbermaid Roughneck container that I put the hit in with the locking pin in it, and I lay the bars over the top and slide it under the TT near the front stabilizer. Then it's protected from most weather, off the ground and out of the way.

A while back I bought a heavy duty floor jack. It came in a ultra heavy duty cardboard box that I decided to save for "future usage". My Blue Ox Sway Pro WDH head, bars, wrench, gloves, grease tube, rubber ball cover all fit nicely into this box and it's stored conveniently in the bed of my pickup. Sure is nice to have the hitch stored out of the gravel/sand/dirt and rain along with everything I need stored TOGETHER!

I leave my shank in the hitch. My sway bar lays on the battery box mount behind the propane tanks. My WD bars lay across the wood planks that my tongue jack sits on.
