That's not really necessary UNLESS you use the trailer jack to lift the trailer/rear end of truck up a little to help with hooking up WDH bars as the truck will just try to re-level the rear, potentially putting a lot of weight on the trailer jack.

Well, I'm not sure how quickly the auto-leveling reacts. If it jacks up the rear before you have time to engage the bars, you will be getting very little weight distribution. Indeed, the bars would be very easy to install, proving that nothing much is happening.

I would not want to take that chance. I would re-engage after completely hooked up. The instructions do not say that disabling is only for the initial setup, do they?

If the truck is not running then the built-in auto leveling shouldn't engage until the truck motor is restarted.

At least that makes sense to me, anywayz...

It could be lower than normal ride height in which case the adjustment would be wrong.

Start the truck.
Let it adjust to normal ride height.
Enable Jack mode and keep truck running.
Take adjustments and adjust WDH accordingly.
Disable jack mode.

And wear a respirator, to avoid passing out from the exhaust near your face.

That's exactly what the Ram does. Shortly after turning off the ignitgion the system releases and the truck settles a bit.

I re-measured the whole set-up in jack mode and had to do some minor adjustments to the WDS but now everything seems to be working as intended.
