If your trailer weighs under 10,000 lbs., and the tongue weight is under 1000 lbs., you are good to go with the hitch receiver using a WDH, but not necessarily with the truck itself. You need to find the tow rating of your truck. Since many towing charts don't list a vehicle from the early 90s, the best bet would be to call your local Chevy with your VIN and see what final drive ratio you have, and if possible what the tow rating is.
Since it appears that you have an aftermarket hitch receiver and probably don't have the factory tow package, you may need to add an auxiliary transmission cooler to your truck if you have an automatic transmission, as well as a 7 pin wiring system for the trailer hookup.
