Weight police should have been consulted

I feel terribly for this family, especially the kids. That said, they are the epitome of what not to do. Their trailer was completely overloaded.

One question not covered in the report is where the younger passengers were seated since it appears the TV was a cargo van.

Wow. Thanks for sharing. That is a great example of what not to do.

Did I understand it right that they had a motorcycle loaded into it also? OMG!

I feel sorry for them. They loaded it up way too far and took a gamble that it would be ok. So sad the gamble did not work.

Vin.

I feel sorry for them too, and glad no one was hurt, but geeze.....maybe just a little common sense could've avoided this. They even had a motorcycle packed inside.

Probably on a shoestring budget and rolled the dice, though I can't help but wonder if fatigue had more to do with it than being overloaded.

a motorcycle in the camper? I saw a full size water heater in the mess as well. And lots of boxes...I can't imagine how overweight they were. Cargo van...and what, 5 passengers and 2 dogs?

I completely agree. Shoestring budget would add undue stress + fatigue.

I THOUGHT I saw a water heater too, but didn't mention it because I thought I was seeing things! Unbelievable....
