Weight questions

We just bought a 8528ikws. On the way home we weighed it.

3200 Axle 1, 4540 axle 2, 6620 axle 3, and 14360 gross.

My truck is a Ram 2500 with the following load specs. GCWR 17,000, Curb wt. 5.413, Tow Wt. 11,450, front axle 4000, rear axle 6000, gvwr 8800.

What's the best way to use these numbers to ensure I'm within a safe weight rating.

First definitions:

GVWR = Gross Vehicle Weight Rating
GCWR = Gross Combined Weight Rating

---

You compare axle 1 (3200) to the front axle (4000). You're OK there.

You compare axle 2 (4540) to the rear axle (6000). You're OK there.

You compare axle 1 (3200) + axle 2 (4540) = (7740) to the GVWR (8800). You're OK there.

You compare axle 1 (3200) + axle 2 (4540) + axle 3 (trailer axle/6620) = 14,360 to the GCWR (17,000). You're OK there.

The couple of other things that you should be looking at are:
1) The load capacity on the rear wheels of your truck. This is shown on the sidewall. This needs to be higher than 1/2 of the axle 2 (rear axle) weight.

2) The axle ratings of the camper itself need to add up higher than axle 3 (trailer axle(s)).

3) The load capacity on the camper tires need to be higher than the approximate load each tire sees (if 2 axles, you have 4 tires - so, 6620/4).

---

All told, you don't have nearly enough truck. Might I suggest a F-450 dually? NAW- I'm kidding! You look good by all of the measures. I assume your tire load capacities and axle ratings are likely in-line, as well.

(Edit to fix typo in a word ("you're" to "your").)
