We had a Windjammer which was probably 9,500 lbs loaded that we pulled 8,500 miles all through the west and southern Canada. No issues with that one, either.

Max tow and payload package?

2012 f150 crew cab with 3.73 gears no max tow pulling a 2012 micro lite 23 lb I'm guessing around 4,500 - 5,000 lbs.

We pull a Coachmen Freedom Express 254DSX with our 2013 EcoBoost. This is a picture of my wife coming out of the camper after our 30 day, 4,800 mile trip from South Alabama to Niagara Falls, MBL, NFL, RV and Rock & Roll Halls of Fame plus many other venues. Truck was absolutely flawless and we maintained an average fuel economy of 12 mpg. It was an absolute pleasure to drive on the trip. We love our F150 EcoBoost.

I pull a Coachmen Apex 288BHS that is around 6500lbs loaded. Truck amazes me every time I tow with it. I use an equalizer wdh and get no sway at all.

Rockwood 8289WS Signature Ultra Lite. We do have the heavy-duty payload (2642) and Max towing (11400) packages.

2014 XLT Max Tow and 2014 Roo 233s. Weighs about 5500-6000 loaded. Use an Andersen WDH and I'm very comfortable towing this combo.

EDIT: Just realized this pic has my trailer tire marks on the driveway. Clearly I need more practice reversing lol

2015 XLT, 4WD, just over 2k payload pulling 2014 FE 246RKS. Just over 5500lbs loaded for 2 weeks of camping. I use the Andersen WDH and get around 12mpg with a mix of hills and flats, freeway and 2-lane. I just go about 58-60 depending on the road. I like the spread-axle design on the trailer. I think it makes it more stable and balances the trailer a little better. The trailer is 28' ball to bumper.

I have no issues with my combo. I've researched 5th wheels but I wouldn't gain much over what I have now. I know they tow better than a bumper pull, but for now I'm very happy with my truck and trailer. With 2k payload, I could pull a small, 5th wheel with about a 1200lb hitch, but like I said, I'm happy with what I have.

I might get a class C when it gets closer to retirement, but I could live full time or take an extended trip in what I have now.
