What can i tow

Okay seen a lot of info on towing. Tried to figure it out but it is confusing to me. This is my info. Truck 2019 f250 king ranch.

Truck info
GCWR 19,500

Max loaded trailer weight 12,500

Front gawr 4800
Rear gawr 6340
Gvwr 10,000
Combined weight not to exceed 3026

How do I figure out what I can tow in a 5th wheel?

Thank you.

Not sure what you mean by combined weight but IF you mean payload then the total of passengers, gear, hitch and pin weight cannot exceed 3026 lbs.

Okay so if Iím looking at this correct. I have 3026 pounds to figure with.
So pin weight of most 5th wheels Iím looking at is around 1500-1575. Then I add two passengers couple coolers the 5th wheel hitch that brings me to around
1700-1800. I should be good to go or am I wrong.

Pin weight runs about 20% of trailer's GVWR. Assuming all the totals, including the hitch are under 3026 then the only hurdle left is RAWR. If you are under that then you should be good to go - on paper. Tires rated for the max load?

Start with the trailer's GVWR and ignore the brochure pin weights.

The real truth will out when you 1st hit the scales

Your GCWR is only 19,500? I guess with a gasser that's correct. As you have stated, the max loaded trailer weight is 12,500. I personally would stick close to that. Your pin weight, fuel, people, cargo will easily take up your payload which brings the truck itself to 10,000 lbs, leaving 9500 on the trailer axles. That essentially brings you to 19,500 GCWR

What can i tow

When you hook up to a fifth wheel or travel trailer and the trucks sits about level pull it and let someone else worry that you are overloaded. DOT is not going to stop you and weigh your rig. If you run over a DOT scale where the big trucks go you will probably get laughed at by DOT workers. If you are worried about stopping your rig install disk brakes, if you are worried about pulling your rig up a mountain slow down. I saw a F150 towing a big Blue Ridge RV, the truck was level. I see trucks in campgrounds pulling all kinds of campers, I never bother to ask about weight

Keep your 5'ver at 10,000 pounds or less and you'll be a happy camper!

More than that...and that white knuckle experience will always be out there, just waiting to rear it's ugly head!

Not exactly the best advice to someone who looks new to 5th wheels.
