What do tow with your nissan frontier?

Just seeing what people pull with a late model frontier.I was looking at crew cabs with 4.0 v6.

The Frontier Crew Cabs have a reduced payload capacity (shown on the yellow sticker on the drivers side door jamb) vs the extended cabs. Crew Cab payloads can be as low as 1,100lbs. I pulled my Micro Lite 19fd with an '07 4.0 V6 w/6speed manual that was adequate on the flats but suffered terribly in the hills.

Replaced it with an F150...

Pulled my 201BHXL a few times with my 17 Frontier CC 4X4. Among other things, I added SuperSprings to the truck. Even with a great WDH and the SuperSprings, the Frontier was adequate at best. Long drives and hills were exhausting. I upgraded to an 18 Ram 1500 Big Horn. Honestly, with the deep discounts offered by Ram, it wasn't a.whole lot more expensive. It's a lot more truck though! Makes the Frontier feel like a toy : )

Thanks for the replies guys.My camper weighs 2587 dry with a tongue weight of 310.My old colorado had a 2.9 and 3500 tow capacity. So it was at max but actually did real well as far as handling with the trailer brakes and e2 wd setup. If I had a little more torque and horsepower I would have kept it.This truck has 100 more torque and 80 more horse with 6100# towing. So I think I will be good.If I ever went up a little in size I would go half ton for sure.We will use this camper quite awhile and these size trucks just work well for me and my location.I used an older tahoe for awhile and plenty of power but really missed the truck option and garage space,DW didn't like it either LOL

Both the Frontier and Titan share similar platforms making the Frontier fairly stout for a smaller size pick up. I added Old Man Emu leaf stacks in the back and Bilstein coil over shocks in the front for a 1.5 inch lift. None of this helps with payload but the truck was level pulling my camper.

Good luck with yours.
