Oh and it all can start from a restriction of coolant flow from the oil cooler...

Got my W&P Friday night at 5:30. The next day at 1:30 I'm 300 miles away at 8000' after hauling combined weight of 18,500lb up 10 miles of up to 8% grade. Not bad for a gasser.

One more thing that can cause a cooler to crack is not vacuum filling your coolant when you change it. If you just pour it in, it can leave air pockets in the cooler. Those air pockets can get over 1000 degrees and break a cooler.

2013 F350 DRW SC 6.7 Lariat.

Cons:
Reaching the center of the windshield to clean it (these things are big).
Setting cruise doesn't have digital speed come up (like my Focus).
Rear windows on SC's don't drop down to open.
Expensive (all trucks are ridiculously expensive).

Pros:
Power.
Mileage.
Really comfortable front seats.
Power extend and fold mirrors.
All the other little power doodads.
Assembled in the USA by union workers.

I liked my 08 6.4, but I love my 13 6.7.

I had a 2011 F250 Lariat 6.7 diesel. Towed my 35' Vibe 308 with ease. 2 weeks ago i traded up to a 2016 F450 Platinum 2nd gen 6.7 Diesel. I highly suggest a 2013 and up Super duty as you will get some nice tech features and a much nicer Nav unit. The 2nd gen 6.7 is available on 2015 and up. Not that big of an upgrade for towing a travel trailer. More so if you plan on pulling a fiver.

My father has wanted to hook up to my W&P since he first saw it. The wife had our truck for a girls weekend to see Miranda Lambert so we loaded the 2 RZRs in it and headed out.

For some reason he thinks it looks good behind his rig...

What ties your FR

Pull a 2011 28RKS Wildcat 8000# dry 16600# GCVW ready to roll. Pull with a 2012 F150 7700GVW 6.2L gasser, 3.73s 6speed auto Max Tow package. Good combination and 11.2 MPG this summer over 14300KM.
