My TV is no comparison to the big boy trucks, but my X5 xDrive35d with rear air suspension does pretty well. The 427 ft-lbs of torque really helps. :-)

It gets the job done and probably at better gas mileage then the big boys

That is pretty much the common setup I saw in Germany a couple of months back. Different makes and models but all cars and SUV's. Zero pickups and a couple of Cherokees.

2014 Chevy 2500HD CCRB Dmax 4wd. Firestone Airlift wireless on board air, FASS150 lift pump, and MotorOps custom tuned. Tows our 2014 V Cross Platinum 365 like a breeze. Tow at 72 on cruise while getting 10.5-12mpg depending on terrain.
