2012 Ram 3500 Dually.
Pulls my 5'r with ease and comfort for the driver. In a tight campground, backing can be a challenge, but careful planning and some experience smooth's the way.

We recently traded in our 2015 ram MC 2500 for a 2017 f450. 1000x better! Our drive from Las Vegas to San Antonio was comfortable and stress free. We are glad we made the trade. Even with our trailer lifted 4 inches (originally because the ram was lifted) it rides pretty level with the f450.

The hitch I'm using.

RAM 3500 CCLB DRW pulls XLR 415 AMP

Here is our setup. Pulled 3800 miles in 2016 and camped 50 nights. B&W Companion hitch and a 51 gallon RDS aux tank/tool box combo in the bed. All are covered by my Access rollup cover when unhooked. About 26-28K total depending how we are loaded up.

I have a 32 ft V-lite by Rockwood, was towinging it with a 2013 F-150 5.0 and towed it very well but a little unstable when passed by a semi. I now have a 2016 F-250 6.2l havent had a chance to tow it yet . my F150 was getting 9.5 to 10 mpg when towing.

Sorry to resurrect an old post, but do you have to possess a CDL in order to drive the tractor or is the CDL only required when you get into split truck weights with full trailers?

I do hold a cdl but our truck is titled as a rv in our home state so no cdl is required, I will include a couple of links for more info on using wwhat e refer to as HDT's for towing.
